  stores the number appearing on the display for use as a constant value in deferred arithmetic and basic calculations. (Page 14.)
  recalls or retrieves a copy of a number previously stored with STO key; places it on the display so that it may be used in a calculation. (Pages 14 and 17.)
  changes sign of a displayed number from + to – or – to +. The + sign is not displayed; it is assumed if no sign appears on the display. (Page 13.)
  CLx clears display only;   CLx (CLEAR) clears everything except values stored as constants. (Page 15.)

Arithmetic Function Keys

    

Dual-Function Control Key (Gold Key)

The unlabeled gold key   extends or expands the use of those function keys having gold-lettered notations above them. It is used also to clear the machine when used in conjunction with the CLx key, and to round numbers to various decimal places when used with number entry keys.
To use the alternate function (the one on top) merely press   before pressing the associated function key.
