Denominate Number Conversion

Denominate numbers are used to express units of measure: length, weights, time, currencies, etc. The principles illustrated by the following examples of currency conversion can be extended to other types of unit conversion problems.
U.S.-to-Foreign Currency Conversion
This calculation finds the value of U.S. dollars in terms of foreign currency when the prevailing foreign-to-U.S. currency exchange rate, and the amount of dollars to be converted are known. Information is entered as follows:
1 Enter dollar amount to be converted, press SAVE .
2 Enter exchange rate, press ÷ to obtain equivalent amount of foreign currency.
