I have a HP 48SX that has 48 COGO in blue letters on the front of the calculator just beneath the last line of buttons. I haven't seen another like it. Is this a special edition or what? I also have the TDS cogo card to go with it...no manuals.

What you are seeing is a keyboard overlay that has been placed over the original keyboard. All the COGO software (commercial versions) come with some sort of keyboard template (overlay) since they make use of customized keys. The overlay explain the function of the redefined keys. This overlay is removable.

So in sum, you do not have any special edition HP48SX, from what I can tell.
