Albert i made a "quick" traslation using a PC based program....sorry for the typical traslator mistakes but i think everyone here will be able to understand what it tell us...

June 9 2006.- They count that the signature Goldman Sachs gives a calculator to all the recently arrived to its lines. It is not a calculator anyone. It is the HP-12C, a machine that practically has not changed their external appearance from 1981. the interior yes it has been upgraded - and that this year it celebrates their 25ยบ anniversary.

To speak of 12C o'clock is to speak of a myth and of a tool that all the economists know. It is the most famous financial calculator in the market and, I date curious, it is also the product of HP that better and during more time it has been sold. Anything of printers or cameras or cartridges of ink. A calculator.

Neither the spreadsheet neither the PDA have been able to put an end to her, although a PC or an electronic calendar are able to lead it in speed when carrying out complex calculations. Perhaps be their horizontal design or the simplicity of the inverse Polish notation, the case it is that it still remains in the pocket of many financiers and it carries out their work exactly the same as two decades and one half a decade ago.

To celebrate the birthday, HP has put in the market a new limited edition carried out in black and silver for 115 Eurus and it has mounted a web where to send histories, histories of the last 25 years played by 12C o'clock. There is the winner here whose writer and main character has been taken a television of plasm of 50 inches:

Amid the final exam in the School of Business of Columbia, you Go they Rend he/she thought that he/she had disadvantage when realizing that their PC had died. The other students used electronic calendars to calculate the valuation of the sale price of a complex financial company during the exam. However, they Rend, he/she proceeded to simply make the calculations with their HP 12c, a form of the financial statement of the company, a blank notebook and a pen. When the results became public, they Rend, it was completely surprised when seeing the maxim he/she notices next to their name. After hearing the history of they Rend, the professor declared indispensable the calculating HP 12c for all his students.
