How's that? Take the batteries out? I obviously don't understand what you're trying to describe.

The only thing about the 12C that seems curious to me is that they made the little-known function "RCL g R/S" programmable. I haven't yet seen any use for it in a program, though.

Does it hatch an easter egg?

I've never observed it to do so, but then I haven't tried all the possible argument values.

My article HP-12C Serendipitous Solver describes how you can use the HP-12C's built-in financial functions to find any and all real roots of a polynomial equation up to 1,480th degree or more, and includes a 37-step program to demonstrate the concept. Neither the solving process nor the evaluation of the polynomial do include any user-code, iterative processes, all is done in microcode.

The RCL g R/S instruction appears at step 22 in my program. The article also includes 5 fully detailed examples of the program's capabilities, including finding all 5 real roots of a 5th degree equation and a real root of a 137th degree equation.

Best regards from V.

No man, you need enter with a code, after this, your calculator are lock. You must enter other code, to use it.

Cool, very cool.

I write a article about this, in this month.
