ECL's HP-33S wish list:

*
*- Multichar variables (even limited to 3 would help)

- Eqn editing w/out having to backspace (the direction key)

- GTO for equations lib (jump to any eqn), or basic directories.
- Ability to call on a stored equation from within a program.

- Slightly smaller keys (more space between them).

Regarding item 1: This would be very useful in certain situations, but would likely require a change of paradigm, and result in some inconsistency how variables are handled. Such things must be thought completely through. (Would one really want to introduce the complexity of the 42S?)

Item 2: Agreed. I would add "support of implicit multiplication" to make equations more compact -- e.g., 2(X+Y) instead of 2*(X+Y).

Items 3 and 4: Also agreed, but this would require the ability to assign an identifier to each stored equation. Maybe an "EQN" command that would work similar to the flexible "MATRIX" on the HP-15C? (e.g., RCL MATRIX A", "MATRIX 9").

Item 5: Not entirely agreed. I would advocate a return to the colors and form factor similar to the original 32SII.

I would also ask for good and complete complex-number mathematical functions, at least as good as those in the 15C and 42S. The functions that __are__ present -- besides being incomplete -- are quite helpful for programming, but are cumbersome for inteactive calculations.
