I may be somewhat prejudiced, but I think all HP calcs, old AND new, look better than some of the sci-fi props, though on Star Trek: the Next Generation, some of their handhelds looked like Pioneers made bigger with primary colors, as if they were HPs made for kids!

IMHO, it's the same as with wrist watches or coins and bank notes: the design of a calculator should reflect it's value.
