The 48G series has a solver that is very similiar to the 17 or 27s in use, features and functionality. In many ways it is better. Use EQ Writer to make your eq (just as you would make an eq on the 17 or 27s). When you are through, press enter to put on stack, type a descriptive name, then store. When you pull up the numeric solver, choose your new eq and Voila! there it is. It will behave just like the financial solver or any other solver eq like on the 17 or 27s as well. A somewhat different layout, but you just toggle to the numbers you wish to change.
The 48G also allows you to grab the Eq Lib equations and load into the solver AND also correctly keeps track of the units. This is something 17 and 27s cannot do.
