Coca-Cola Patented an HP-71B system?

This Patent was registered by Coca-Cola in 1989. They use a HP-71B with the HP-IL 82165A GP-IO interface as a Data Logger for Post Mix Beverage Dispensing System. Does anobody here ever heard of this system??

Coca-Cola did not patent an HP-71B system. They patented an apparatus and system that logs how much of various beverages are dispensed (in a restaurant, for example) during a day. The system happens to USE an HP-71B and a GP-IO interface in one embodiment, but the claimed invention is not to the HP-71B system itself.

For HP collectors and enthusiasts, this patent is another example of the use of the HP-71B as a controller.
