Anyone here likes HP Calc emulators?

#2

I liked to see and try the HP-49G BEFORE I bought mine.
Then I saw the EMU48 emulator and loved it, not to mention the great V41 (HP-41CX emulator).
I wanted more (<greed>), the DOS-Based HP-71B Emulator requires a ROM image also, but I don't have IL for my HP-71B...
Does anybody know where I can find one?
And what other ROMs are released as NOMAS (like the HP-41)?

I suppose everyone here knows what I'm talking about but if anybody does not understand something I said, feel free to ask!

Cheers,
Gil Petri.

Gil:

I think I get some of what you're talking about. I must say, the sim/emulator that most impresses me is Larry Leinweber's Java HP-25 simulation that's posted under "Calculator Simulations" here in the MoHPC.

It is simply a beatifully-realized homage to Woodstock design and functionality. I've recompiled the Java code and am looking at making it handle base conversions (hexadecimal arithmetic) and perhaps some other features for my own use.

It sure beats the heck out of Microsoft Calculator!
