Hello,
I was comenting to a friend of mine that I was so afraid that my HP-41CV would fail after 20 years in service and the fact that the battery pack was not holding charge and the difficulty of getting a new pack.
I also told him that I got a new HP-48GX and I was not happy because it was not an easy to use calculator but it was more like a small computer.
Well, he gave me his HP-41CX that he used 15 years ago in college and never used it again. And it has the alkaline battery holder!
I told him the prices in e-bay, but he did not wanted any money and he also pay for dinner. I guess I owe him dinner.
Only you guys could understand my happiness and the security I have that I will be able to add, multiply, calculate a tangent and once in a while run a program for the next decades to come.
Cheers,
Walter
