On a happy note, I must tell everyone on this Forum that with its help during last year I now have ALL my calcs up and running (just a total of eight), the last two being the 67 and the 31E.

Many Thanks!

Just adding a "Me Too" message. I just cleaned up a bad key on a 25, using the instructions posted here a couple of weeks ago. It now works very well -- not perfect, but it makes the machine useable again. I'm signing up for classes soon so maybe I'll bring it into school and show the kids what a real calculator looks like. Thanks to everyone who comes up with all this repair info and posts it here for everyone's benefit! - Michael ▼

Clean the key again... sometimes it takes a few trys to get all the grunge out. ▼

Thanks, David. I did clean the contact a couple of times when I had the calculator apart. I'll try again soon and see if there's any improvement. - Michael
