Yes it is. It requires a 48 series machine to receive the IR output. Process is identical to that of the 42S. See http://www.hpmuseum.org/cgi-sys/cgiwrap/hpmuseum/articles.cgi?read=266 for details. Just map the 42S keys mentioned to the same physical 17B/17Bii keys and have fun and don't miss a block. Several hours and a sore finger later, you'll have your image.
