Perhaps the rest has noticed it but in RPN mode the 17BII's equal key performs the same function as INPUT, i. e., lifts the stack and allows RPN operation. I have not seen much fuss about that (I haven't checked the Forum archives in detail about this subject.) It takes a little to get used to this second ENTER key, maybe because there is that "long key" above the number key pad. It is much the same thing with the little ENTER key on the 49 series.
Thankfully, on the 49G+ you can assign it to EEX and used the "normal way" but in time it is possible to get used to it. Lately I've been trying a 49 and I am in the process. A good advice is to think of it as if it were the 17BII's equal key.

As far as I am concerned I can live with a small Enter-key to the right of the digits instead of a double one above to the left. I (and not only I) had to learn two different digit layouts when telephony moved from a dial to a keyboard with 123 above and 789 underneath 456. Just the other way around as they are grouped on a calc. Nevertheless I hardly make mistakes punching in numbers either on a phone or on a calc...
It just needs getting accustomed to the thing.
