I took a chance and bought an "untested" 32K CMT ram module recently. Well, its tested now and its not working :( Guess that makes the price/Kb infinite.
I have disassembled the module. All of the contact fingers look good. There are two potted ic's and a single memory chip (NEC 8616K910 D43256G-15L).
What are the chances its the memory chip? Is that easily replaceable?
