Hi,
Well, as some previous posts in this thread suggest, HP is not taking any responsibility for the programming capabilities of the new machine. Now, maybe I am a bit alarmist, but as far as I am concerned, any calculator that does not come with a manual, is merely a toy, and not a real tool. Yes, some people are willing, able, and actively going after the programming of the 49G and the G+, and JYA and others who were intimately involved in the development of the 49 are still actively posting to comp.sys.hp48, and so perhaps that is "documentation" enough for some, but not for me., Especially in light of the "outsourced" nature of the beast (49G+) and the whole new harware platform--and hte recent track record with the 12C platinum.
I don't trust the product if the manufacturer doesn't even trust it. I will stck with my older machines including the 48, until better documentation comes along. Why rush, if the product is not up to snuff?
There are plenty of new old stock 48's around!
regards,
Bill
