The display on my -41CV is fading. I've never had this happen to a -41. What's usually the problem and what's the probable fix? Thanks.

I konw its sounds silly, but have you tryed fresh batteries ? Are your battery contacts clean ?

Oh, yes, I tried fresh bateries, but I've never known a fading display in 41 associated with weak batteries. Plus, I had the unit serviced earlier this year and the battery contacts were fine then. I bought the unit from a friend of mine who didn't take care of it so that's probably part of the problem now.
