Hi, Hugh;
Maybe I'm actually playing silliness, but I'd like to "hear" from others, if applicable.
When I had the chance to use an HP48SX, I tried its statistic resources and I got myself stuck: where was the [(SIGMA)-]] key/function? As it deals with lists instead of final summations (all RPL's do this way), I thought I should remove the last entry in another way, so [(SIGMA)-] did not exist.
Later, after a careful reading, I "found" it: HP48 Owner's Manual, 3rd. Edition, single volume (big brochure), p. 21-4. There you read:
1 - Press [left-shift][(SIGMA)+] (the (SIGMA)- command) in the STAT menu to delete
the last data point.
You can't see it, it's not in the keyboard, but it exists. Far worst than finding [y^x] in the HP41's kbd...
My 2ยข.
