Just a few Thoughts on Times Past

I was watching TV's "History Channel" about our first space shuttle in 1981. That was before the HP-15C! And then I remember in HP's Key-Notes a photo showing the Astronauts on board with an HP-67.

IIRC, the first on-board nav computer contained a whopping 4k of plated wire memory so the HP was a pretty powerful backup!

FYI, the shuttle astronauts did not use the HP-67, but the HP-41c.

when they launched the shuttle, that's when the HP-34C was a hot new item .... where's the exit door,
I'm tired of this Bill Gates nightmare called "the future"

I wanna go back to the good old days ...

"I wanna go back to the good old days ..." I know exactly what Norm means. Too often I feel exactly that same way.

The Michael Meyer post a bit higher in this Forum reinforces this notion.

I think that the HP65 (or maybe -67) was used in the Apollo-Soyuz rendezvous.

Whatever. How would you like THAT ONE in your collection!
