I replaced my HP-25 batteries with NiMH AA and they last longer but are completely compatible, just take a little longer to charge.

Try replacing them with AA Energizer Lithium Maganese cells. Then you won't have to worry about charging, or changing, for a long long time.

But don't EVER try to charge them! It will become the "Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch"!
