The big green "RPN" button on that page is a good sign! Takes you to an RPN tutorial. ▼

Nice little propaganda section. However, looking over the calculators provided at that site shows only a 12c available that is RPN. ie the 48G series was absent. I am NOT going to hold my breath. I do hope for a new RPN from Hp, and I will buy, even if it is a low quality Hp30s derivitive. This is what I expect from HP. I wish I could expect more and I do hope they deliver better. But I expect only a Casio type keypad with an algebraic/RPN selection with the enter key in the lower right, standard size and no tacktile feedback. I would almost prefer the HP20s to be re-released, since a quality keyboard is as important as the entry method. ▼

Wow, they've changed the site considerably since I posted the original message... :^/ ▼

Yes, so far to their headers I'd say we are still waiting for calculators for Science and Engineering and Technical Professionals, rather than the little calculator kiddy toys (excepting the 12C) shown in the photos! I don't think they are done, however from the #'s previously discussed of new releases, and a new RPN in a user friendly but capable format would be nice to see. The robustness and design/manufacture of years past would really be a snice surprise! |
