function, - just a simple sum(0..1000, x). Why is any number >1000 disallowed?

This is probably a remnant limitation from the HP 39GII days. I am positive this will be removed in an update as it causes issues with a few commands which require lists for inputs.

Yeah, that was definitely a leftover limit that was not meant to be left.
