Quote:
The Beal Conjecture's solution could make someone into a millionaire, if he or she is able to solve the difficult math problem. The challenge, created by billionaire Texas banker and mathematician D. Andrew Beal, will give the solver $1,000,000 to finally put to rest the problem he found in 1993.

BEAL'S CONJECTURE: If Ax + By = Cz, where A, B, C, x, y and z are positive integers and x, y and z are all greater than 2, then A, B and C must have a common prime factor.

Hope someone here gets the money! Any thoughts on how to prove this?

What application or use does the conjecture itself have??? Are we paying attention to it because of the reward?

Yes, the money would be nice...

But, any advancement in Number Theory and the isolation of Primes, or Relative Primes, is almost always an advancement in Cryptology.
