Hi All,

I am looking at a new class of, what I will call, *Neo Simultaneous Linear Equations* where the diagonal elements are squared (or cubed or have any other power)! For example:

a(1,1) x(1)^2 + a(1,2) * x(2) + a(1,3) * x(3) = b(1)a(2,1) x(1) + a(2,2) * x(2)^2 + a(2,3) * x(3) = b(2)

a(3,1) x(1) + a(3,2) * x(2) + a(3,3) * x(3)^3 = b(3)

Has anyone seen applications with the above type of equations (even with the powers of 2 replaced by other values)???

Thanks you for your help. I would like to know if there are **ANY** practical applications for the above type of system of equations. Otherwise, the *Neo Simultaneous Linear Equations* are part of pure math problems.

Namie
