Identify HP-01 Prototype parts

#2

All,

Can anyone explain how this set of buttons would have been processed @ HP?

Would it have been anodized, colored then cut into individual buttons?

Also, what do you make of this band without a stylus?

Looks like metal? If so, I think that may be a piece of tooling involved in making the button molds, rather than buttons.

Neat!

Perhaps it is tooling. However I have 5 or 6 of them. One is colored black.

Additional interesting parts:
The green and blue plastic bezels seem to be part of an electrical testing fixture of some sort. I have an assembly that I'll post later that uses this part.
