One of the surprises I enjoyed at HHC 2012 was meeting Palmer Hanson after all these years. In addition, it allowed us to set up a competition reunion of the calculator wars of the TI-59 vs. HP 41, because Roger Hill was there.
They were involved in trying to get the fastest program time to generate and print a year's calendar on each machine and the timings went back and forth. There are some write-ups here:
