I have just plugged in and turned on my HP 67 for the first time since the early 1980s. It works, but the display is faulty: the left side of each character is missing, thus the '9', '3', and '8' all look the same and all other numbers are missing their left-most components.

(1) Any idea why this is happening, and
(2) more important, how can I fix this display fault?
