LOL The page editor was asleep that day.

Or decided to go with a cheap stock photo. "Hey, it's a calculator. Who's going to know?"

#15

The first sign of something being wrong is that the keyboard feels vastly better.

#16

So funny!

Hey, I have one of those TI 4-bangers at work. Great for simple math. I like the keys, actually, even if they don't click. I bought it to complement my TI 508 4-banger at home. Much older. Big, easy-to-see keys, no programming.

Nope, it's not a 50G. Either one.

#18

They should change the name of the page for

e-WTH???

;)

Cheers.

Many of the e-how "instructions" remind me of a book that a friend of mine had in the 70s, a spoof of the do-it-yourself mania.

It had a chapter entitled "How to add second story to your house."

The first instruction: remove roof and set aside!

#20

Yes, I can see that! From the page:

Quote:
How to Make & Store Equations in the HP 50G

1 - Turn on your HP 50G and launch the Equation Writer.(...)
2 - Write the equation you want to store on your HP 50G in the Equation Writer. (Ahn?!?!? How???)
3 - Press the "STO" button on the 50G.
4 - (...)

And what do I do with the roof?

Cheers.

Luiz, I didn't even get past the picture, I quit reading. Are those the instructions it gives, for real? OMG what a bunch of muggles!

#22

Welllll.... there's a bit more text, I just copied and pasted their first words for each step. The complements are reinforcements, like locating the labels in the keyboard (?!?!?!), using tags - 2: 3: - to define the port where to store the equation (without explaining what is a port) and to not to forget to enter the equation name...

Please, read, you'll enjoy it... the bitter way.

Cheers.
