Introduction and discontinuation dates for HP Calculators

#11

I have started to make a list of introduction and discontinuation dates for HP calculators in order to produce a diagramm showing these. For most calculators the dates (years are good enough for me) can be found on this very website. But for some they can't. Missing are HP 48G/GX, HP49, 49GII, 48GII, 50G, HP32SII, HP33S, HP35S and the 15CLE.
I have started googleing for those, but found contradictory answers. So I thought I'd ask here.

Cheers,
Harald

A partial timeline was produced here.

Some missing recent dates can be found on the Hp calculator poster :

Great poster from the calculator reference.

You'll have to download and enlarge the image - or better buy the poster :-)

I have it : great quality pictures and layout.

Cheers

That is what I had in mind. Just haven't worked out how to do it yet. I have managed to do something similar using open office. But it is not as nice as I would like it. How was this diagram done?

A lot of these dates, sometimes down to the precise day, can be found in A Guide to HP Handheld Calculators and Computers. It's by the noted subject matter expert Dr. Mier-Jedrzejowicz, and is now in its Fifth Edition, Fourth Printing (2011).

If one collects or is interested in history, this is is a "must have" publication.

That looks interesting, too. I guess I'll have to order that :)

Thanks!

Here are some dates from the research done to do our HHC Calendar (see http://www.pahhc.org/2009/Calendar.htm for reference):

HP48G+: 3/30/98

HP49G: 5/21/99

hp49g+: 10/20/93

hp48gII: 10/28/03

hp50g: 9/19/06

HP32SII: 3/1/91

hp33s: 4/20/04

HP35s: 7/12/07

HP15C LE: 9/1/11 (from the press release)

This must be a typo, must probably be 10/20/03 instead.

Thanks! I didn't get that far yet.

Absolutely right. My bad. Thanks for catching this.
