HHPC had its offices in Charlotte, NC, for many years. I am not sure if they still do. Jim De Arras, who is the genius behind HHPC products, lives in Richmond, VA. We were friends since we were PPC members. He was my best man in my first wedding. I had the privilege of buying his house in 1989 and inheriting the workshop & benches where he invented some of the cool early HHPC products. I used these benches to write many programming books!! :-)
In the middle 90s, HHPC underwent some big restructuring (brought on by the company's partners who also ran the Food Lion grocery stores), reducing Jim's role in the company. Due to my divorce in these same years, I lost contact with him. I did contact him in 1999 for a possible job with his small consulting firm. He was not into calculators anymore (at least that was the impression I got). I ended up working for Cisco who bought a company in town.

No info, regrettably, but a comment: great company. I do have one of their 128 Kb RAM modules on my physical HP-71B and it runs perfectly so far, after nearly 30 years.
This is it:
It feels great to have some 160 Kb available for big matrices and lots of large programs. You just never run out of memory anymore ! ... :D
