HP41 battery installation

I am new to this forum, and I hope somebody can help me. I purchased a 41CV from eBay.
Included was a dry cell battery case; the problem is that there is no polarity depiction of how the batteries are supposed to be installed. I tried to do a search on the forum about this subject, with no results.
I am stuck!

There should be polarity markings for each battery on the closed end of the battery pack.
