I would like to know if there is any way to cancel the automatic shut down after 10 minutes in the HP48SX.

Unlike the HP41 the 48 series do not have an "on" command which set a flag to force the machine to stay on. To the best of my knowledge the only way to force the 48 to stay on is to set a repeating alarm to execute an empty program. Marwan Joury
