After thumbing through the Series E tutorial, "Solving Problems With Your Hewlett Packard Calculator," I came across the following example in the 'Raising Numbers to Powers' section:
Calculate (-2.7)5.
Although the Series E and following calcs can perform this calculation, why would this calculation result in 'Error' on Woodstocks and Classics?
My hunch is that the algorithm before the Series E was something like:
10(x X log y)
and since y is negative and the algorithm takes the log of y, that is where the error comes in.
