I am experiencing some strange behavior from an HP-IL module (HP41). When connected to a single device everything works fine. When two devices are connected the second device returns errors. This has been reproduceable both with the following configurations:

1 - disk drive - printer 2 - printer - disk drive 3 - disk drive - disk drive

The second device always returns an error -- change the HP-IL module and everything works fine.

Does anyone have any ideas as to what may be causing this (yes I know the module has somehow gone bad ), has anyone else ever experienced something like this?
