BTW the above is a problem in a way with the HP48 too (under slightly different circumstances) and was never addressed.

I have discovered something else that I think should work but I get an error.

I get bad time or date. On the 41c this can go up to 99 hours. Maybe relax the 24 hour check. Especially in 24 hour mode. Just my $0.02 worth.
