Please, let this forum be free of religion and politics

#2

We have seen some incidents of discussions about religion here recently. I confess I have participated in some.
I've already started to feel odd about some of the things that were said and about the people that said them. This is not a good thing. I'd rather not know at all about other forum participants' believes (and politics, for that matter) but enjoy talks about math, calculators and science in general.

In real life I very much enjoy all things philosophical, but they should never be mixed with other topics and are best discussed face to face .

Please join me to keep our believes and politics to ourselves!

I like this site the way it is and be kept as such. Let the love for
calculators unites us for a better world.

Agreed. I've learned that there are three topics to avoid at work: religion, politics and gun control.

I think it's best to stick to calculators in this forum.

Amen...

#7

Well, there go all discussions of RPN versus algebraic, or RPN versus RPL :-)

( Just kiddin'... )

I'll do my best Alexander, I am NOT a fan either politics or religion.

Definitely mod up.

But what's the difficulty? As I noted in one of those threads, we can settle it all on a calculator, right?

"My 41C says your belief system is invalid." :)

Fixed!

The power of open source!

Now if those Zoroastrians would just stop sending me patches ..

#13

Don't blame them, they are just forwarding the packages of Amun Re.

Another board gamer lives here. Interesting.

My 11C says your religion is power hungry and won't last whereas mine will still be going strong in 15 years! I would export that answer for posterity but we don't believe in IO.

My 41C smiles serenely as it sends the Good News to the entire world.

My 42s is without sin.

Can't say the same for myself. ;)

That's odd! My 42s came with sin as a standard feature, right next to the roll down key. I use it frequently; apparently I am quite a sinner.

#20

LOL!

There is a special place in 7734 for sinners such as yourself.

#22

ROFL!!!!

#23

Those who continue taunting are condemned to continued rolling like C2H6 until eternity!

#24

I heard in 7734, you are forced to divide by zero

#25

My 12C is free of sin, cos, and tan.

#26

Ah, but it does have root. And isn't money the root of all evil? :-)

#27

According to what financial people have done to the world, this root without sin must be far worse than root with sin.

#28

what if we swapped the word "forum" in this thread's title with "world"? Imagine...

Then you would be injecting religion an politics right back into this forum, which you were asked not to do.

#30

oh gosh, just as well it's just a hypothetical...

#31

Life would be a lot easier. But it was the free will of mankind do invent both :-/

Alexander; thanks for that.
