Steve Jobs meets the 9100a

#2

I just started reading the new biography of Steve Jobs. Early on it describes how Jobs joined the "Hewlett Packard Explorers Club" at Homestead High. This met in the HP cafeteria and featured HP engineers talking about their projects. One quote might be of interest to some around here.

Quote:
I saw my first desktop computer there. It was called the 9100A, and it was a glorified calculator, but also really the first desktop computer. It was huge, maybe 40 pounds, but it was a beauty of a thing. I fell in love with it.
