The TAS 15c LE we discussed yesterday now over $300. Apparently the bidders are unaware of the new model, they did not take the out offered by the seller, and they don't read this forum.

He will now be able to claim that he forewarned them that they were not getting an original.

So, unfortunately, we (who emailed him) have unwittingly aided his original fraud attempt.

I understand, and he can claim that, but his claim would be BS in my opinion. The top bidder may have put in a high top bid and has not come back to check on the auction. Ebay will automatically increase the buyer's bid and let him know by email if he has been outbid. Even if the person came back to check on things, how would you catch that something changed in the auction? The main picture is the same and if you are bidding on multiple items you probably won't go into each item to read it again. You would typically just look at your list of items you are bidding on. You read the listing the first time before bidding and don't expect people to make radical changes to their listings later. You shouldn't have to watch people like a hawk to make sure you don't get screwed.

Keep in mind my little rant here isn't directed at you. I am upset with the seller for how this has been handled.

Did you happen to notice that seller's approval rating? Most companies and or politicians would be pleased with 97 % but imo that's borderline for TAS.

That's bogus, though. Just one red in the last year, and does not seem justified. When you have very few sales, one red can drastically affect your rating. Sometimes people leave reds when they shouldn't.

Ouch. this is almost painful to watch. Some buyer is going to be very sorely disappointed. Others may disagree, but I wouldn't pay the current bid amount for a new in box original 15C.

Or worse, the buyer thinks it's a LE from the 1980's (in the line of like the 32S & 14B), and is totally unaware that it is a current release.

These are the kind of buyers that sellers like Co* feed on. Unfortunately.
