I think it's inevitable that collectors such as myself end up with too many redundant instances of a particular calculator model and too many broken / non-functioning calculators. For example I had 10 HP-45s and over a dozen broken calcs. The time had come to perform collection triage and decide which calcs to sell / junk and which to retain / repair. I ended up disposing of a dozen calcs, including 4 HP-45s, and successfully repairing 2 of them. I now have only 4 broken calcs and only one that is possibly repairable, the remainder being spare parts. Although there is certainly room for further improvement, I feel much better with the current state of my collection.
