A local radio talk show host was buying tickets online for the new Star Wars movie and had made some disparaging remarks about the fanatics who were standing in line overnight (or longer) to get tickets. Several people from the station were going to see the movie together on Friday morning and one of them asked which theater they would be going to. The host said he didn't dare name the theater because they would be "flogged to death with Hewlett Packard calculators" by fans who might have heard his remarks.
On Thurday night Conan O'Brien told a joke on the lines of the worst thing about the new Star Wars movie was sitting next to someone who had been in line for three days.
