Richard Nelson recently wrote that the HP-30b will be available at Office Depot stores in August. I checked it out today. The calculators haven't arrived yet, but there is a peg labelled "HP-30bii, HP financial calculator, $49.99". I had to laugh at the "ii" and wonder where that came from. The salesman checked his inventory and saw 0 units, but from the peg it looks like it is on the way.
HP-30b available at Office Depot.....soon

Thanks Joe. I'll check again in a couple of days and see if they make it to Louisville.

Quote: I just checked their consumer on-line store and the business OD web page (for corporate clients only; company I work for uses them for office supplies). It doesn't show for on-line purchases; must be an in-store only item for now. ▼

Considering the problem is usually the other way around, I'd say that is an improvement! :-) TW ▼ ▼

Unfortunately, the spec sheet at Samson says "programmable with 32K user memory." This has been a problem since day 1. Some nimrod, probably in marketing, put 32k in the spec sheet when, in fact, there are 290 bytes of user memory. That's a huge difference. Tim, tell somebody in marketing that resellers are still saying 32K and it's WRONG!! Don |
