82104A Card Reader Made in USA

#3

How unusual is it for a HP-41 card reader to be stamped "Made in USA?" All the other ones I have seen are made in Singapore.

Hey Larry...

[Wow, a namesake into HPs! From where did your family hail?]

The first 41 card readers were Corvallis, I believe. Can't remember now, but my old 41C (I use a CV now) was a USA product; was purchased from ElekTek in 1981. I (albeit possibly mistakenly) would assume the card reader mfg would roughly track/move with calculator mfg.
