HP10 problem when printing

#4

Dear all,

sorry in advance if you think HP10 is not suitable for this Forum ;-D
The thing is that I have a Hp10, ant it works fine except for two aspects, when printing: 1-the paper moves out but it is not "fixed". It can be moved slightly with the hand. 2- Last, and most important: when printing "0", it is shown very big, so, i.e. when 0.00 is printed it covers nearly totally the paper width. This do not happens with the rest of figures (1,2,3, etc.), only when a "0" appears.

I would appreciate your help in order to solve the problem,

Regards

Ignacio,

You found the right place to ask your question!

The HP-19c and the HP-10 have the same printer mechanism. One of our HP repair experts, a regular contributor to this forum, has a very nice writeup on repairing this printer. This should be very helpful in fixing your paper feed problem.

You should also make sure that you have a good quality battery pack installed, that's it's fully charged and making good contact with the circuit board contacts. All these factors can cause the print to stretch out as you describe.
