Trivia: Which HP can't display its own programs?

Post: #2

I don't know if this machine is unique in this respect but one of HP's calcs can't display its own program code. So you type a program in and it is impossible to get the keystrokes back on the display. The only way to get the program details is to print it. An incredibly strange design decision which makes programming somewhat awkward and wasteful of paper.

Which calculator is it?

The 9815, with it's shockingly loud printer.

Well that didn't take long!!! Correct on both counts Katie!

I know the keyboard layout is not uniform for a simple grid reference but I really am surprised HP didn't find some way of using the display to show key numbers. It is a near-fatal flaw otherwise.
