HP-21 simulator for iPhone/iPod

I just noticed there is a HP-21 simulation available On the App store for the iPhone/iPod Touch. It is called GO-21 SciRPN ($.99). I wonder if a HP-25 is in the works? (I hope, I hope!)

The ratio of different RPN options on the iPhone to non-RPN options vs. the same ratio in the real world is disproportionate.

Clearly the public wants their RPN. Unfortunately, there is no public data on RPN usage on the iPhone or RPN vs. non-RPN sales. It may just be that the type of people that like RPN are just more capable of creating iPhone apps. I.e. RPN people are smarter, more creative, and more motivated. Just my biased opinion. But, years of RPN use has got to affect the layout of the brain.

BTW, why GO-21? I know that on the keyboard GO is parallel to HP and alphabetically G before H and O before P, but I after H and Q after P for IQ21 would have been better.

...maybe it is too close to IQ=21, which is not very inspiring for clever people who know what intelligence coefficient means (pardon the english spelling, i'm only IQ=22 :)

The numbers are biased though because anyone who is satisfied with algebraic functionality has a good basic scientific calculator by default. Seems like all the calculators that started as algebraic in the app store have added RPN functionality to attract the RPNers that have to go to the app store to get their RPN fix.

Also, most of the RPN calcs are emulations (HP specifically). I'm speculating, but of the natively running calculators I bet more offer algebraic functionality rather then RPN.

IQ-21 was indeed on the list but as another noted it was to reminiscent of intelligence quotient, and 21 wasn't such a hot IQ. So, in memory of 2001: A Space Odyssey and the HAL 9000, whose initials preceded IBM, GO was chosen because it precedes HP.
