Has anyone ever seen this? ASTP HP-65 checklist

Post: #8

This three-ring checklist (6"x8") was flown used onboard Apollo-Soyuz by Deke Slayton and has extensive pencil notations in his hand. Pristine condition and unique. Fourteen pages plus front and back cover. A 'Slayton' Certificate of Authentication is included and states, in part: 'This checklist book has been on loan for exhibition to the Astronaut Hall of Fame in Titusville, FL and the Air and Space Museum in Huntsville, AL. Ex-Donald 'Deke' Slayton Estate Collection.

Hmmm..... Could be nice to have a copy of this in my collection. I am sure that I can fit it beside my HP-65 inside the cabinet ;-)

Any information about what is actually in it?

That's all I could find.

Yeah, looks like someone bought it at an estate sale auction and probably paid a mint for it. I'd certainly like to see what's inside, but being a "checklist," I doubt it contains actual HP-65 code, unfortunately.

Hello Hecube,

On the ASTP program, the Hp-65 is further referenced in the Rendez-vous manual:

- Part 1

- Part 2

where the rendez-vous procedure is extensively described, alas without the HP-65 code...

Best regards

Etienne
