Does anyone know if the knew 12C is going to replace the old model or are they just going to randomly seed the market with a few scattered ARM versions? I went to Fry's last night and they had 3 12C's, but all were the older version.

All new manufacture is of the ARM-based design. However, there are lots of the older design still in the distribution channels. This is presumably exactly why HP did a "soft roll".
