Dear HP calculator collectors,
You heard probably from Canon's latest "Think smart - Think green" initiative in Europe and Australia. Calculators manufactured from recycled copiers! One copier generates about 4 lbs of re-usable plastic material, enough for more than 50 four-bangers.
For sure, the manual and box is made from recycled paper.
Texas Instruments once again proofed its leadership in calculator technolgy and released - forty years after the invention of the single-chip calculator circuit and shy 3 weeks before the Earth Day - the latest model called Execulator.
It is manufactured from renewable resources, uses neither batteries nor solar cells, and sports even the latest organic display technolgy.
Due to the limited logic elements of the technolgy it lacks a percent function but has one constant memory!
There are only few images available yet, but the Datamath Calculator Museum received one of the very first prototypes.
Have a nice week!
Regards,
Joerg
