There's been some postings recently on comp.sys.hp48 about the HP50g ROM firmware version 2.14 that's just been made available.

Apparently it has some port 2 bugs.

Scary stuff. I just bought a HP-50g and was thinking of updating the ROM, but maybe I'll adopt the "if it ain't broke don't fix it" philosophy.

Well, at least version 2.09 is a trouble-free update, especially if done using an SD card.

One hopes that a corrected version 2.14 comes soon available, even though there is no description of what version 2.14 corrects or improves.
