Assistance for the new

Hello,
I've just gotten an hp35s and a long list of programs to input. I've just hit a line and I can't find the input for it. I am required to enter ∑ x and later on ∑ y but I can't make out how. I can see ∑+ and ∑- but I can't edit out the + or -. Any guidance would be a godsend.

Hi Bill,

from the context I guess you were talking about [SIGMA]x and [SIGMA]y (your attempt to write proper [SIGMA]s was not acknowledged by the system in this forum). Please read pages 12-11 and 12-12 in the User's Guide about the statistics registers and your access to them.
